Two Web domains, One Proxy Server

by leonidasromero . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

Hello, and Thank you ahead of time for your answers. I have two domains (e.g. www.abc.com, www.xyz.com) that I wish to host from the same IIS 4.0 server (running on NT 4.0 SP6a). I am currently at a crossroads as how to configure such a setup without causing havoc to the pre-existing website (i.e www.abc.com). I believe that this might involve the allocation of an extra IP address, but again I am not sure, both on configuration or application. Currently, I have the main site set to “Any Assigned Address” within the MMC (Microsoft Management Console), under it’s Properties menu. When I originally tried to activate the second web site, I could not start it, because of the binding of the original web site to the ports applicable to hosting.

Any answers, help, guidelines, or web sites pertaining to this would be appreciated.

Thank you again,

Leo
