An Intranet Web site was created in a NT4 based server with IIS installed. The IIS security was set to allow anonymous access, and the NTFS security of files was also set to allow guests to access. But, the other users, besides the system administrator who set up the web site, can not access this web site. The system administrator is the only person who can access this web site. This NT server also has the default web site on it.
The “other users” have no problem to access the default website of this NT server. But, other users have problems to access the web site which has a unique IP address, other than the IP address of the default web site, assigned to it. This unique IP address was assigned to the same NIC of the NT server through the Network property window of NT system. In other words, this NT server is supporting two Intranet Web sites with one NIC.
How to resolve this probelm to allow “other users” to access this intranet web site?
