UBCD4W ISO to USB Flash Drive - How?

By Goldenbarstewart ·
I have created the ISO for UBCD4W - this was meant to create a CD. Is there any way to make this work on a USB Flash Drive?

You can also use the ubcd4win plugin or YUMI

Hi if you are using 3.50 it will have a plugin under the critical section "!critical: ubcd4wintousb V-1.00 <CONFIG to install to usb-drive"
if your using 3.60 this doesn't show up, but its still in the install folder.

but As posted above by Robodev,Pendrivelinux .com has great utilites for this. another good one is "YUMI"
you can use this to make a multiboot usb.
theres a video on www.hak5.org (episode 524) on making a multiboot usb manually.

Thanks - created the USB boot drive on two different flash drives using the UBCD4W ISO first the 360 then the 350 - however, after launching UBCD4W, got the blue screen of death - tried two different 2 GB flash drives and two different computers - one a laptop and one a desktop - same result! The ISO of both produces perfect CD's but it's the USB boot option I need for laptops without a CD drive.

I have seen that BSOD - its sometimes the SATA setting

this BSOD may be due to the SATA set ing in the bios, try setting it from achi to compaitble (or what ever setting is used for compatible) and try booting again, that fixed that issue for me on some HP laptops .
