Ubuntu password

by pltucker726 . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

I tried to install Ubuntu through wubi. Right now I have two failed installs that appear when I boot up my system. I can’t get them off, and I suspect it has something to do with the Master boot record. But, lets just forget that for now. My most pressing problem: I installed Ubuntu again. During the installation, I picked up my guitar and began practicing. I DID NOT touch the computer keyboard: why in the heck is it asking for a username and password in order to utilize the OS. I didn’t put one in; it did not ask for it. I don’t get it. Please don’t tell me that I entered anything. I use only one username and one password for EVERYTHING. If I never entered those standard items, how would I determine what info it’s looking for? I’m SO Ready to get rid of this “supposedly better than Windows” operating system. It’s more trouble than it’s worth — so far.
