I hate to admit it, but is the whole industry chasing Apple?
Tablet sales are replacing low-cost laptops and the Mac Book Air is a big seller at the high end of the market.
Intel comes to the rescue with their $300M investment in the Ultra Book reference design. Basically a mac-book-air in every garage. Thin, powerful, instant-on, long battery life….but at a price.
Will the Ultra Book stem the tablet-tide, put the MacBook in it’s place, or just be another pretty face?
