Un-alphabetize Outlook 200 sub-folders

By ESS PEE ·
Is there a way to remove the default feature that sorts the sub-folders in Outlook alphabetically? I am trying to create a sub-folder structure that list Jan, Feb, March etc. however Outlook automatically re organizes the folders in alphabetical order.

Don't think so. I'd be interested if anyone knows of a way to do that.

Until then, you can always use a common tag in front of the folder names. Something like Month - January, Month - February, etc...or even #January, #February if you don't mind the having a symbol in front.

I have been checking this and have not found a 'built-in' solution. Outlook provides many ways of sorting items within folders but not the folder themselves.

A workaround to this if Outlook does not provide any manner of changing the folder sortorder is to name the folders...

01-January
02-February
03-March...
...
10-October
11-November
12-December

Using the numeric base (the lead zero is imperative on January-September) will force Outlook to sort these folders in the manner you desire.
