When I had recieved that error, I had corrupted that file so I just copied it from another computer. The computer I copied it from was had identical hardware, so I am not sure if that would be an issue.

Try running System File Checker to see if other files are corrupted. It's under Accessories - System Tools - System Information - Tools menu. You can then tell it to restore from CD or extra cab files on machine if you saved them on hard drive.

You may try rebooting and choose VGA mode during the boot up. Then go to settings and change the refresh frequency to a lower rate and change colors to 256 if not already there. Be sure to do a test and then save the settings. Reboot and see if you still get the error. Could also be caused by the wrong video driver.
