Unable to access Task Manager in XP

By Bev_Tech_Rob ·
When I attempt to access Task List in XP Pro, I get a error 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xC0150004). Click on OK to terminate the application'. The system works fine otherwise. Can I run Setup to repair the existing install? I am running OS on Compaq Deskpro EN 866 PIII, dual-booting with Win98. All running on FAT32. Thanks!

This link may give you an answer. It appears that PCAnywhere may be one of the problems.

(you should also be able to run TaskManager by typing TASKMGR.EXE on the Start>Run line.)

That tip worked like a champ! I got kinda spooked when the tech mentioned I had PC Anywhere, because I didn't mention that point! I actually had Ver 9.2, but the tip worked great!
