Hi all, I will try to make this short.
1. There is 2 site with 2 servers running NT 4 with SP6a.
2. Site A is where the PDC is located.
3. Site B is where the BDC is located.
4. What I am trying to do is to decommission the BDC and allows user authentication through the WAN link.
A couple of things I have tried.
1. I have checked the WINS and everything is fine. the 1B and 1C records points correctly to the PDC.
2. Tried setprfdc from the resource kit but no luck. Logon server is still the BDC.
3. I analyse the network packets on both end. Seems like it reaches the PDC. But there’s not much information there as well.
4. Tried adding lmhosts instead of using WINS. but no luck as well.
Can anyone help?
