Our company is using Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 currently. The OS used is Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 SP4 running on a DEC-321064 computer (Alpha platform) – 275MHz speed and 256MB RAM.
Using MS Outlook, we’ve tried to set autoforwarding to an external SMTP address using either Inbox Assistant or Out of Office Assistant. However, messages were not forwarded.
But if the rule was configured to forward messages to an internal e-mail address, messages were forwarded correctly.
We did not face this problem when we were using Exchange Server 5.0 previously.
I saw an article in Technet (article ID Q216397) which seemed to provide the solution. I’ve applied the steps but the autoforward problem was not solved! Another related article was Q192982.
Can anyone help me? This problem has been bothering us for quite some time.
