Unable to boot from CD

by cesarmcp . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

I recently did a repair re-install. It did work, but now I got too many error messages and an unstable PC. So I decided to reformat it and start fresh.

The problem is that when I change the bios to load from CD, and I reboot the PC, I am unable to boot from the CD. I even tried loading the default settings but that did not work either.

I now that the CD works because I reformated a couple days earlier. I also have 3 XP CDs so I tried them all. THus the CD is not the problem.

I know that the CD room worked because I am able to use it to install other Software.

Anyone that have seen this issue before and can shed some light that would be great. This is a first for me, and I am still investigating it.

Thanks in advance.

Cesar
