Perhaps this reply is too late, and you have already solved your problem. Your browser needs to have a DNS server to look up the URLs; specify a DNS server in the network configuration window -- your internet provider should be able to tell you which to use. As for Evolution, it needs to know the name/address of the mail server. You can specify this in the mail account setup window in Evolution. Your internet or e-mail provider can give you the correct server address. Evolution cannot connect to Microsoft Exchange servers without a plugin, however. Ximian charges money for the plugin. Evolution does very well with POP and IMAP servers, which most Exchange Servers run by default, though.
