I have the following setup:
Windows XP pro
Workgroup
two accounts (one Administrator)
Account lockout threshold set to 3
To start with. Everything works fine with SP2 installed. But after installing the microsoft updates the system behaves as described below.
First i login to one of my accounts.
I do a logoff.
In the welcoming sreen all the password fiels are frozen. I cannot login to my other account and the only possibility is to reboot the machine.
This is some basic functionality that you want if there are more then one user on a pc. Somehow the possibility to switch users after logging off has become a problem. When i keep logged in and i do a change user everything works as expected, but when i logoff i am not able to logon to whatever account.
