Unable to FTP files

By rdeepm ·
Hello,

The error I am getting is

12031 ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_RESET
The connection with the server has been reset.

I know what the error means, but what steps should I take to fix the problem.

Yes it means you are being block by a proxy server. which means it isn't configured to let you do that.

If your the one in charge of this proxy a little tuning is in order. If your not the one in charge of this, you should find this person and ask them about it. Also it would help if you have the info ahead of time. I.E. ip address, mac address, port ect.

NOTE: If your going to go asking for this kind rights, you better have a good reason. Someone somewhere has gone to a lot of trouble to keep you from doing this.

More detail: Our client recently upgraded to a DSL line w/ a new ISP and now is unable to ftp to our site. Who needs to configure the proxy server? The ISP? or do I need to contact our Proxy admins?

Thanks

The first answer looks good to me. If that doesn't work, try something else. Hope this helps

If you are still tackling this problem, perhaps you should consider calling your local super-hero.
