When I try to open any help related link I keep getting error message “cannot open Help and Support because a system service is not running. to fix this problem, start the service ‘named help and support”.
Running WXP-SP2; Help and Support service is set to Automatic in Services; Tried to Manual start the service and get “Error 1083 – Executable program that service is configured to run in does not implement the service”. Help and Support lists RPC as a dependent service and that is running as Automatic also.
At MS Knowledge Base there is no existance of “Error 1083” that I could find. I am cluless on this and have been working on this problem for a long time.
