Unable to install WinXP.

After Installng new motherboar, processor and HHD, Trying to install XP,system shuts down during txt install. I Have tried to press F5 and select genric or other but still bombs out. I get as far as picking how I would like to format. System specs as follow:
MSI 87P FSR motherboard
P4 3ghz 800FSB
512mb RAM
GF4 4200 TI
Thinking maybe a BIOS issue but want some other input befoer I apptempt that. Does POST but cant get windows to install.

Try adjusting the processor speed to something slower and see if that makes a difference.
Also make sure the RAM is correct for the system.

Open the CMOS setup and check each panel configuration to make sure that hardware is detected properly,use the motherboard manual to so this.

Next use the minimum hardware to begin the installation of XP,if XP existed on another machine then this may be causing the installation to pause to stop.

I have checked the processor speed and it is set to the minnium, Checked the BIOS, all hardware is listed I have tried the bare minnium for installation. Still shuts down.
