Unable to log in to windows
I am working on a Compaq 6710b laptop. While scanning with Kaspersky I saw an error message, saying something like "Insert your Win XP SP 2 CD"-for some reason.
After I did that, the CD buzzed for a little while and the system restarted itself.
Now I can't log in with any account(including Administrator): the system starts to load settings then immediately logs off again to log-in screen.
I've tried the following:
1. Repair Console - cannot load because the hard disk cannot be found.
2. Same issue with trying to re-install XP files without formatting.
3. When I booted with Ubuntu Live CD I can't access the partition (but I can access the HP Restore partition)...
What do I do next? I really need some help...
