Unable to make ‘RECYCLER’ available offline. Access denied.

I am updating a user’s laptop in a Win Server 2003 environment. She has been working at the agency for 12 years. In Active Directory I specified her profile to map H:\ to her user share on the server.
I had her log in, and went to make her documents available offline (as they are on her current laptop) and I get the error that is the title of this thread.
The user’s laptop is running XP SP2 and she is directly connected to the domain via LAN. (no VPN) I have seen a million threads addressing this issue, but I have only found answers and no solutions.
In folder options, I have selected:
Enable offline files, Synchronize when logging off, Create Offline files shortcut on desktop, and 2GB of space is dedicated for temporary offline files.
I have tried dragging and dropping the files, I have tried right-clicking the server share and selecting “Make available offline”.
The same error over and over and over…

Please, anyone, please?
