Unable to open default e-mail folders

by nirajkumarsingh . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

I have Outlook 2003 (and Exchange 2003 on Server) installed on an PC. initially it worked fine. now after when I came from vacation I tried to open it.I get an error message saying “Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to your Microsoft Exchange Server computer with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with the offline folder file.” I never asked it to do any synchronization. I tried to delete the e-mail account and configured it again, but getting the same error message. With the same account name when i tried to configure on other user’s machine with the desired login name in the same domin still geeting the same error. also I have tried to configure the POP3 account instead of Exchange Server but no positive result. At the same time when I try to access mailbox through OWA from any machine (including on the server also) it’s working perfectly. As Ihave configured exchg and POP3 on 2 diff machines so it seems that there is no machine or application specific problem. The mailbox is also accessible from any machine by using OWA so there shouldn’t be any problem with the mails or mailbox also. Please help me to resolve this issue.
