One of my users (my supervisor to be exact) cannot open any existing Excel 2000 files from the “FILE” drop-down menu. As soon as he tries to open a file an error message saying that GWXL97.XLA cannot be found. I checked the hard drive and found thisfile in the proper location (in the Novell/GroupWise folder). I have checked to see if the Office 2000 apps are integrated into GroupWise 5.5–not so. Okay, completely uninstalled then reinstalled GroupWise Client and the error message was still there. Copied GWXL97.XLA from another computer that was configured nearly the same–error message still there. I can open Excel files by double-clicking in “My Computer”, opening a new Excel document is no problem. Can open Excel attachments to GroupWise emails with no problem. Operating system is Windows Me. Also uninstalled then reinstalled Office 2000 apps–still the same error message shows up.
