Unable to ping Windows Server 2008

by roman72 . Updated 14 years, 11 months ago

I am not able to ping my new windows server 2008, I have it setup in a test environment with a windows xp machine for workstation and a vista ultimate as another workstation. I can ping both machines from the server but the workstations are not able to ping the server, I have DNS and DHCP on server and disabled on router, also the server has a static ip address. Also when I try to add the workstations to the domain it gives error that the domain controller could not be contacted.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank you
