I have been trying to port forward on my windows ten laptop but whenever i check the port online it says it is closed.

i logged into the router management page and portforwarded port 27272.

I have tried disabling firewall and and antivirus but to no avail.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

      – What program are you running to answer the message arriving on that port?
      – Are you sure it’s listening?
      – Are you sure the native firewall of Windows isn’t running and blocking it?

You wrote you port forwarded this on your W10 laptop but didn’t tell what you forwarded the port to.

It’s more likely what you wrote is not what you intended to do.

ALL the port forwarding I see done is setup on the router, not the laptop.

      Port forwarding

There are 2 parts to Port Forwarding:
      1) You configure a particular application in your PC to communicate through a specified Port.
      2) You configure the settings in your Router to permit traffic flow through that Particular Port.

Routers will ask you to specify to which IP address that port has to be opened out for. Which means that your PC cannot be linked to the Router on DHCP, but will need a specific address. So you may have to reconfigure your PC LAN settings …..
