I have a user (IT Manager actually) that cant get an IP address from the DHCP server. He can do a renew a get one, but when he boots up, an address does not associate to his laptop. I have removed his pc from the domain and re-added it. I seem to get the same thing when he does (sometimes). The DHCP server has an enormous scope with over 4000 address available (another item that needs fixed).
Has this happened to anyone else? What are some causes? Any fixes for this? The client is a W2K box and the server is NT4. We havnt made the move to AD yet (yet another project).
