I have a gateway pc running Windows XP, and about a week ago my internet stopped working on it. I would open up internet explorer and it would say something like not having an ISP and gave me the option to work offline. I’ve tried to repair my network connection only for it to come back with an error “unable to renew IP address”
i’ve looked at microsoft’s website on the computer that i’m on now, my laptop, and a site i went to said it may have been a Winsoc32 key corruption; so I downloaded and used the guided help from microsoft and it showed there wasn’t a corrupted key.
Also it’s not like a lot of other problems i’ve seen on this site where the network connections balloon pops up and notifies of a “limited or no connectivity”, mine says the device is working properly but it’s not performing! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
