Unable to run Javascripts

By sbarone ·
I've lost the ability in Internet Explorer to click on a link that's a javascript. Also running Zone Alarm Pro and Ad/Subtract under Windows XP Home Edition. Is there any settings in IE that I need to change? Thanks.

Unable to run Javascripts

A few things that should help.
First of all, the easiest thing is to check Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and see that Microsoft VM has checks in the Java console boxes.
Secondly, reinstalling IE is the easiest but if for some reson you need to keep your copy of IE, you can donwload the latest Java drivers from here. http://www.microsoft.com/java/

What has changed since you were last able to run Javascripts?
How are your Internet Explorer advance settings set up?

Additionally, In Internet Explorer, window open function might be crashed by some reason.
To recover from the crash, refer to

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q180/1/76.asp .

check the security settings in your IE.
Tools>Internet Options - security tab, open the custom level and enable those under the scripting header. thus it will allow Javascripts.
