Unable to select tray for HP 4000T OS XP

By fury ·
I am not able to select the proper tray on an HP 4000T Printer. Tray 4 is the default tray. The latest xp driver for this printer was downloaded from HP. HP does not support this printer anymore. Any suggestions?

You have to go to the tab in the printer properties that says "Device Settings". You should see where it lists your trays. By default, even if you have four trays installed, the driver will probably only show that tray 1 and tray 2 are available here (they should each say "Letter" or something like that). Set tray 3 and tray 4 to "Letter" or whatever size paper is in them and then click Apply. You should now be able to choose the correct tray when you print.
