I am currently in the midst of updating and upgrading our LAN. We just received 2 CISCO 2801’s for our central office and our high-traffic remote site. These will be replacing 3com officeconnect vpn firewalls. we have 3 other low-traffic remote sites that, for the time being, are going to continue to utilize the 3coms. Despite my best efforts, and configuration through both CLI and Cisco’s SDM program, I cannot get the IPsec VPN tunnel to work. With the tunnels down I can ping to and from both sites, so the connectivity is fine. I’m fairly certain it’s a minor discrepency between the limited configuration on the 3com and the extremely detailed Cisco one. I hope someone out there can shed some light on this!
