Unattended install

By tgleason ·
I am doing an installation across a network from a distribution share. I can get setup to run, but it is not reffering to the answer file. Is there a special place I need to put the answer file or a special name I need to call it?

Most automated installation methods, including Remote Installation Service, require that you create a distribution folder.Distribution folder is a directory containing all files.
The easiest way to create is to use the Setup Manager from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.
To create a distribution folder manually first create a network shareon the target drive and create a \i386 folder in that share. Then copy the contents of the \i386 folders from the Windows 200 CD-ROM to the \i386 folder you created
The other part is UDF Files is the format of an answer file
The Setup Manager creates UDF files in addition to answer files.Hope this helps
