Unattended installation using winnt.exe

By Siliconwombat ·
Hi.
Just started the MCDST home study course

Im on chapter and up to 'Unattended Installation'

It references a series of syntax which i dont understand. Basically i know what it does and from that parts of it are variables but i cant tell which. Please could someone explain it?

winnt/s:sourcepath/u:answerfile/udf:ID,udb_file

also on the same subject...

winnt32 unattended

I have the same problem witht the following syntax. However as most of it is the same it is just the num bit (in square brackets for clarity)

winnt32/unattend[num]:answerfile/udf:id,udb_file

Last thing do either of the commands require .exe at thend?

Thanks in advance for your help

Tom

If you need more info about XP unattended then take a look on your xp cd under support/tools/deploy.cab extract this and inside is everything you need to do an unattended installation.
