I am doing a lot of installs every month in new systems with the same config and so far have been doing them manually (yuck). I found some articles here on the subject of Unattended Installations but I still have a couple of questions.
Each copyof the OEM OS CD will have it’s own registration number as you know, and I am hoping that I can just put a new OS disk in each system drive and the relavant info will just be pulled off the disk. Do the processes in the UDF, Unattended.txt, and SYSDIFF tools work for this kind of installation or just with a site liscense? If not, what do you suggest?
My other question is if I can leave the user info blank during the install and put it in later. I know it is possible because big PC integrators do this but I don’t know if I can duplicate it with OEM disks.
I appreciate any insight/advice you can offer.
