Unattended lockups

by fred c. tucker . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

Using a Pentium III 500, 256meg RAM, RIVA TNT2 M64 – video card, and WIN 98 SE. The computer is left on, and unattended. There is no applications running in the background, including screen savers. After some time has passed (could be hours) the computer is completely locked up. The only way to recover is a hard shut-down and restart.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this, and if so, any recommendations?
