Undesired change of file/folder name

Hello,

After redimensionning a partition on an 80 GB hard disk , using PartitionMagic6 utility, the characters of many of the files and folders in this unit have are no more properly read by WIN98SE explorer ( dislays “‘~&L?? and so on ).

Someof these folders contains the original recovery data of the system partition, some I’d like to keep them – toherwise I’d have formatted this partition.

Has somebody an idea about that ?
