Unexpected Error XPS2 Upgrade

I am trying to install a newly purchased version of WindowsXP SP2 onto my Gateway2000 233MHz.
At the end of the install during reboot, the error message states

“an unexpected error (0) on line 1773 d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c.”

Help. What does this mean and how do i solve it.
