Try reinstalling the program and then uninstall.

There are a couple of posibillities. If the program directory and it's files and shortcuts are no longer present, this could be indicative of a poorly designed uninstaller which leaves residue behind. Some programs leave behind an uninstaller shortcut in "Start\Programs" or an entry in Add/Remove programs. Another possibility is that the Application's folder was deleted without the uninstaller or it was inadvertantly moved to another directory.

You can try using Microsoft's "Windows Installer Clean Up" program to try to fix any installer issues. The file name is msicuu. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

The most likely explanation is that you only installed the 30 Day Trial version of System Mechanic and that the main folder that has a default position of

C:\Programs Settings\Iolo\System Mechanic

has been deleted so there is nothing left of the main directory to remove. The easiest solution is to reinstall the trial copy and then remove it through the Add Remove Programs.

Hi,

This is Amit from India. You can do one thing in this scenario. Go to Start > Run > Regedit > OK

Then go to HKey_Local_Machine > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall

It will display a bunch of some keys with numbers. Now you have to click on each number key and on the right hand side, you'll find a value with the name, DisplayNameand check that option and check if this value is related to 'System Mechanic'. If u find any of those keys, just delete that number value from the left hand pane of this window.

Restart the computer and then there is no need for uninstalling the software any more.

If u have something else to ask, just send me an e-mail - amitbhatiain2002@yahoo.com
