Uninstalling DirectX 8.01 beta

by minhajlk . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

Hi,

Recently I installed DirectX 8.01, I wasn’t aware at the time of installation that the DirectX 8.01 has expired. Now everytime I run a software that uses DirectX support, I get an error message “Direct Draw beta version expired”, “Pls download the new version of DirectX”. I reinstalled DirectX 8 but I still get the error message.

How can I uninstall DirectX 8.01 beta version. I went to Microsoft’s DirectX site to download the new version, DirectX 8a is about 11MB since I am using a 28kbps modem I think its not a good idea download this file.

I’d appreciate if you could give me some advice to uninstall the DirectX 8.01 beta version and install the DirectX 8 my is OS WindowsMe.

Thanks and regards,

Minhaj.
