Unintentional replication of workstation

by zharia . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

Sorry about not being clear…I have Win95 and Win98 clients attached to a NT server. I added a new user to a Win95 machine1, only to find that a Win98 laptop1 in another office, with a different login address, password and connection, replicated the same settings. Desktop and otherwise. I havent touched anything on the server except added the new user to the server to allow him to log on. I then moved the Win98laptop1 to another connection, changed the settings and it was fine on reboot. When I moved the Win98laptop1 back to its original connection, not only did it boot up with the settings of Win95machine1, but another computer (Win95machine2) that I returned to that same connection that I had just moved the Win98laptop1 from, booted up with the settings of Win95machine1 in the other office. I havent created any roaming profiles at all on the server. I hope this is clearer…
