I reviewed a friend’s log on his SBC 2-wire router and I see several computers that are not his that have been connecting (wirelessly). I’m thinking that if he changes his access password and makes it real hard by using a password generator that he should be able to stop this.
On another note, since I have the identical device I tried changing my router password and couldn’t get it to work. So I’m kinda stumped as to what to do for him at this point.
Has anybody else tried to change the router password on the 2 wire 1701 and experienced any problems? Will periodically changing his password protect him? What else should he do?
