Unix to NT printing.

By Shanghai Sam ·
I have a Unix (HPUX 11) server in one country, and most of my users in a second country.

I am using HPDPS for printing.

To give better control of print jobs I have set up a network printer with its print queue on a NT4 server. This has been shared over the network.

I have installed the TCP printing service on the NT server.

The unix print job is sent to the shared NT printer. The jobs print ok but I have no control over the font size.

Any ideas

Unix to NT printing.

Windows controll and can change fonts each time something is sent to print. Unix uses the default font in the printer unless you change it before printing. You will seed to send a setup string to change the font each time. Or just change the defaultfont in the printer to what you want, knowing window will send its own fonts each time and the default will not change.
