the message comes up whenever I attempt to flash the BIOS.
Before this happens, I failed to flash the BIOS… the process halted and nothing happened, so I had to force it to stop.
after then the system restarted, a message said that main bios was failed and the backup bios was on.
so I looked up the Internet to find out the solution to it; however, nothing worked.
some said that flash memory protection might be a cause. as soon as I saw the thread on the Internet, I tried but didn’t work out.
I tried to find any utility that can reset flash memory but only end up getting cmos clear utilities…
I don’t know what else I can do about this.
If anyone out there have any clue to spare… help me please…
P.S. I have unknown manufacturer’s RS690/SB600 motherboard with Award flash(Winbond)rom on it. Award flash utility version 8.66 was used. flash update files are all clean.
