Unknown Hard Error on start-up

By escheitz ·
I have Windows XP Pro (but have also seen this on Home) and every time I run chkdsk /f and reboot, after I logon, I get many "Unknown Hard Error" and the file name of every file that executes upon start-up in the error message. After clicking OK after every error, and reboot things are fine. Unless I run chkdsk /f, and things go haywire till I reboot again.

I don?t think your problem was with the XP. You must first make a Bios update from the disk with your Computer o with your dealer. More you don?t tell wath is your machine Manufacture.

The system is built from components. I think it is chkdsk corrupting either the registry or certain drivers, but I have never heard of this. Anybody...?

Oh, thats a good one.

I would probably start by checking the Event View for any information. If there is something there that seems odd you can check out for help with the issue.

I would also check the manufaturers web site of your mobo for any bios updates.

Hope this helps.
