Unknown "PCI Device" on a Toshiba Tecra M5 Laptop

By Link999 ·
I have a Toshiba Tecra M5 laptop that came preinstalled with Windows XP. However, because of company standards it had to be wiped to have Windows 2000 Professional installed on it. I installed all the drivers from Toshiba's website (and yes, in the order that they suggested too). However, I have an unknown "PCI Device" that I can't figure out. The only thing I can think it might be is the SD Host Controller (since that doesn't show up in the list of installed devices, and when I try to use the SD it doesn't work). Does anyone know where I can get the Windows 2000 SD Host Controller Driver for the Tecra M5? Or how to get this device working?

those annoying ?'s in device manager

Hey Guy,

I had the exact same problem with an M5 I'm reloading. After downloading every single xp driver/software solution available from Toshiba's (slow) website i found the two outstanding ?'s and thought I'd post a reply.

one was the Infineon Trusted Platform Module driver.

the other was the hard drive protection shock sensor driver.

Hope this saves you and or others the 2+ hours it took me to finally figure it out.
