Unload the Debugger

By jfinan ·
I am using Windows XP Pro system. My wife by error hit yes on debugging when on a web page the other day, but later said no and got out of the debugger. Since then, I have loaded some games which will install but when started (after the necessary reboot and all) give me the following error message: "Unload the Debugger and try again". I have checked the Dr Watson which shows no debugging going on. I have also done a System file scan which revealed no error messages. How do I unload the debugger? or better yet, how do I uninstall the debugger from my system? Is it a necessary? Thanks.

Ctrl-Alt-Del and 'end process' the drwtsn32.exe process.

To get rid of Dr Watson forver (and note that this may cause real problems trying to troubleshoot a system problem, so I don't recommend it):

Key: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug
Name: Auto
Value: 0 disable
Value: 1 enable
