Hi, Hopefully someone has seen this before.
I have a Dell Dimension 8400 running XP home.
What i’ve done to get here.
PC Restore – yep, total whip-out
Update windows
Installed printer drivers (had it’s own issues, now resolved)
Installed Office 2003
Installed Publisher 2003
Microsoft update…. Service Pack 3
Configued Office in my identity
Created 2 NEW Identities
Configured Office in one other identity
When log out of my identity on Windows xp Home sp2, The welcome screen still shows I have 5 unread mail messages. So far, it is just this one identity that is doing this.
I only have outlook express (not configured with an account) and outlook 2003. I have double checked both programs to confirm that the mail was indeed read.
my question is….
How do I make the unread mail counter work properly on the xp welcome screen? I’ve heard tweakUI can be used to turn the counter off, but i’d rather have it work properly.
I’ve been uninstalling / restoring / updating /restarting for 20hrs straight. I need more brains to help me find the solution.
