HP Vectra VL420 PIV 1.7ghz running W2K Pro on a NT 4.0 network.
I loaded the W2K OS, configured the network and logged onto the domain. I then proceeded to load several business applications. After that whenever I perform a shutdown or restart and try to log back on to the machine with the domain profile I just created (shortcuts, mappings, printers etc.) the profile is unrecognized. It loads a brand new profile even though the first profile is still listed under c:\Documents & Settings.I get multiple profiles with profile names like user.domain001, user.domain002, user.domain003 and so on. This happens with both the domain user account and the domain admin. account. I have reloaded the OS and even sent the PC back for a replacment. HP was unable to pinpoint the problem. Any bit of advice would be greatly appreciated.
