Unsure of what my next step in my tech career should be…
Hello, I’m on this forum because I’m unsure of my next move career wise. Long term I want to get into UX design, but I’m also interested in software development. I’m the typical “jack of all trades, master of none” type person. I have a bachelors in psychology and a bachelors in computer science. I have a ux design portfolio and I also know a little python, java, sql, and a tiny bit of c++. I want to start somewhere and although I would love to get a job in UX design I know that it is a tough field to break into at the beginning, so I was thinking I could maybe get a job as junior developer… Anyone have any advice? How much experience do recruiters expect for a junior developer. I had to use these languages to create projects for my degree, but I’m by no means a master at them. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m a little lost and hoping for some guidance. Thank you!
