My Laptop needs updating to the latest version which is Windows 10, version 21H2 but I don’t have the space for it – I have tried everything to get space like deleting files I don’t use or need but it keeps saying I don’t have space! Has my Laptop stopped updating or is there another way to update it??

      Tell more about your laptop:
      – how many hard disk partitions (like c:, d:, e:)
      – for each partition (in the right click properties): total space and free space

Could it be it’s one of those cheap laptops coming with only 32 GB of hard disk space? Just in case it is, read and do step 2. Might very well help if step 1 doesn’t suffice.

And just in case it’s applicable:
      1. deleting files only moves them to the recycle bin, so doesn’t free any space until you clear that
      2. did you already use the advanced options of the disk cleanup wizard
Some Windows novices (of course, you might not be one) don’t know this.

Is this an automatic update that your computer is prompting you to install or just something you would like to install?

There are multiple internet articles for users having trouble installing the 21H2 update online. This is Windows 11, say goodbye to Windows 10 after the update. If you can’t update due to lack of HD or SSD storage, you might need to update the storage or possibly replace the laptop depending on the overall cost.
