I looked at www.motherboards.org, and could not find a listing for corel motherboards.

You can identify who made the motherboard using the bios string that appears near the bottom of the screen during the memory test at boot.
Write down the string, and go to either
www.wimsbios.com
or www.motherboards.org
From the string, they will help you identify who actually made the board, and provide links to the web site.

You can also run Belarc Advisor www.belarc.com
to get a detailed list ofyour hardware.

From the chipset information, you will know what chips are installed, and manufactures name. (Intel, AMD, VIA, SiS)
You can then go to their web site, and download the latest drivers for your chipset and OS.

Caution: If you have a mixed chipset, (2 different manufactures) I recommend that you stick with the drivers from the motherboard mfg.

Another good place to look is the FCC. Find the fcc ID on the motherboard and go to the following site, it is self explanatory.

http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/

PC Chips makes a lot of "OEM" boards.

A common contract term for OEM parts is to limit support to the customer. (Corel company)

Belarc advisor should have given you enough information to update the device drivers.
The listings for the northbridge and southbridge chips, the video card.

As to BIOS updates, your only option may be a 3rd party bios writer such as Unicore software.
www.unicore.com at around $60, it is an expensive upgrade that may do little to improve performance.
I would recommend a new motherboard and CPU if higher speed is your goal.
On a cost per performance basis, select a name prand MB and an AMD Athlon CPU.
