Did a windows update and now computer is prompting with an error that the antivirus cannot be tracked.

Which AV product do you have installed? Not all AV products are detectable via Windows Security Center. You can turn off the detection via Control Panels.

This does not mean that the AV is not working. It is that the AV
is not reporting to the security center. The common issue is that
the software is older than SP2 and does not know how to report.
Most AV products have patches available for download to solve
that. Go to the manufacturer site and get ALL updates to your
software AV.
