Updating Antivirus Program to WinNT 4.0

By julioz ·
We are planning in updating our current InoculateIT antivirus program with McAfee GroupShield. I'd like to know if this is a good choice. I've looked around, and found the Norman Virus Control, Norton Antivirus, and Panda to be just as good. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I use McAffee at my firm and am very pleased. Management is easy updating is easy. Currently I'm using Mcaffe for Exchange, Proxy, and Managent Edition for all workstations and servers. A Good choice.

I use McAfee as well and agree with answer 1. I have it on all my workstations (95,NT) as well as my servers and exchange. Updates are automatic wich is a very nice feature. I also use securecasrt to automatically receive product updates and upgrades. Again, a good choice. Good luck

IncoculateIT is good for workstations, but for Exchange it has..."issues" (we'll leave it at that). McAffee is okay but has problems with NT from time to time.

For the best service and FASTEST fixes when a virus is set loose stick with the one and only Norton Antivirus. (No, they don't pay me for this...I'm speaking from experience)

NAI, Symantec, and Trend are the only three industry leaders that should be considered for antivirus in the enterprise. I personally prefer and use NAI's TVD (Total Virus Defense) Suite and will soon be upgrading to the AVD (Active Virus Defense) Suite. As for the Exchange platform, if you experience problems with GroupShield, I would recommend Trend Micro's ScanMail as the only other alternative. As always, you should perform extensive tests with each prospective product before making any decisions. I am available for contact.
