Updating Internet site.

By RedViking ·
Got a IIS4.0 running on NT4.0sp6a with IIS extensions v.4.
When doing an update to the start page using Frontpage2000 the page becomes a BAK file until I restarts the site.
Does anyone have any idea why and how I will work normally again?

Updating Internet site.

If I remember correctly, this is how FrontPage works when you update HTML pages on a remote web server. The BAK file is a backup of your original HTML file before you started making changes. I have seen FrontPage do this kind of thing before.
So, if you are working on DEFAULT.HTM, and you save it, but it is now called DEFAULT.BAK (with no .HTM version to be seen), then just rename the .BAT to . HTM.
It really should have the .HTM version as well as the .BAK, but if you only have .BAK, just rename it.
